Dr. Shirish Sangle is an Associate Professor of Sustainable Business at National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai. He was lecturer of sustainable business at the University of Leeds, UK. He worked for his doctoral work at National Institute of Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), Nagpur. Dr. Sangle is a trained trainer and consultant of ISO 14000 from Asian Productivity Organization, Japan and is a qualified EMS Auditor. His broad research interests include Corporate Social Responsibility, Assessing Social and Environmental Performance, Role of stakeholder management in operationalzing corporate sustainability, EMS based on ISO 14000, Corporate Sustainability, Stakeholder engagement and environmentally conscious manufacturing. Dr. Sangle has published over 40 research papers in international / national journals and conference papers in the area of corporate sustainability and stakeholder management, corporate social responsibility.
He has guest edited a special issue in January-March 2007 on: “Accounting Standards Convergence, Corporate Governance and Sustainability Practices in East Asia” of the World Review of Entrepreneurship, Management and Sustainable Development, UK. Besides, He is on the editorial board of several international journals including India-Editor for International Journal of Sustainable Strategic Management, USA, Associate Editor for the International Journal of Ecological Economics and Statistics, India, and editorial boards of International Journal of Business and Globalization, UK, International Journal of Management Development, Canada, International Journal of Services, Economics and Management, UK, and International Journal of Green Economics, UK. He is also reviewer for the journal International Journal of Business Strategy for Emerging Economies.
